Ace of Spades
Adam Stark teaches you how to play “Ace of Spades” by Motörhead.

This British rock band released "Ace of Spades" in 1980, as the title track to their album by the same name. It is considered to be the definitive Motörhead anthem, and spent 12 weeks on the UK singles chart, peaking at #15. With the success of “Ace of Spades,” Motörhead proved that a band could chart without sacrificing power and speed.

In March 2005, Q Magazine placed the song at #27 on it’s list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Tracks. The magazine stated, "This song has an intro which wouldn't be out of place ushering in the end of the world.” In 2009, it was named the 10th greatest hard rock song of all time by VH1.

Adam plays an Gibson Custom Les Paul R7 Goldtop in the lesson.
