Falling Slowly
Adam Stark, from The Kicks, shows you how to play “Falling Slowly” by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. This song appeared in the 2007 film, Once, from which it won the Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 80th Academy Awards. This song has an interesting story, as director John Carney developed the script around songs provided by Hansard and Irglova. The song is performed at various gigs throughout the film.

“Falling Slowly” would go on to be nominated at the 2008 Grammy Awards for Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media.

Adam plays a Gibson Acoustic Hummingbird in this lesson.
