Walk Don't Run
Trent Swartzentruber teaches you how to play “Walk Don’t Run” as performed by The Ventures. This song was originally written in 1954 by Johnny Smith, but was popularized by The Ventures when they released it in 1959 as a surf-rock single.  It ended up peaking on the Billboard Top 100 charts at #2.
This band became monumental forerunners of rock music, which led to a 2008 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Guitarists, such as Joe Walsh and George Harrison, credit The Ventures as huge influences; with Walsh having said that “Walk Don’t Run” is one of the most influential guitar solos in history.
Trent plays an Ephiphone Wilshire in the lesson.
