Over the weekend (July 24th and 25th) many of the world’s best-known rock bands descended on Victoria Park in London to perform at the inaugural High Voltage Festival, sponsored by Classic Rock magazine. Bands who performed to the capacity crowd included ZZ Top, Foreigner, Gary Moore, The Answer, The Union, Black Label Society, Joe Bonamassa, Bachman & Turner, The Quireboys, ELP, Dweezil Zappa and Ian Hunter with Joe Elliot’s Down N’ Outz, amongst many others. One highlight of the weekend was Heaven & Hell’s tribute to the late Ronnie James Dio, featuring guests Glenn Hughes and Jorn Lande on vocals.
As it was a festival dedicated to vintage rock music, Gibson Les Paul guitars were well represented by most of the performing bands — as seen in these exclusive photos. Enjoy!
