The 2010 Latin Alternative Music Conference will take over New York City July 6-10, putting the spotlight on Latin rock, funk, hip-hop, punk, electronic and other genres. The conference will feature performances from bands like Los Angeles’ genre-combining Ozomatli and Spanish indie rockers Los Punsetes along with panel discussions about the future of digital media and Latin music in film and television.
Once again, The Mayor’s Office of New York City has named July 4-11 “Latin Alternative Week,” in honor of the event. “The Latin Alternative Music Conference brings thousands of people together to celebrate talented Hispanic musicians every year,” Mayor Michael Bloomberg said in a statement.
