His new album isn’t even out yet but Ace Frehley says he’s going to release a covers and remixes album, and he’s put an invitation out to some big names to participate.

In an interview with arena.com, Frehley says he’s already started work on the album for label eOne, and it will be out next year. “I get suggestions, I come up with ideas, and I ask friends and associates about which songs to do,” Ace said. “The songs are already written, so it is faster and easier for me to make that record. I will get guest stars like Lita Ford, Mike McCready from Pearl Jam, Slash. It is an easier record to make since I don't have much to do. The big stress is coming up with new guitar solos and vocals lines and melodies on new songs.”

Ace also notes that he’s considering recording an updated version of his cover of “New York Groove,” which was a hit for Frehley when he recorded it for his self-titled solo album while a member of KISS in 1978.

Ace’s new album Space Invader is released on August 19, and it’s both heavier and more guitar-driven than previous record Anomaly. “My fans said that my last album could have been heavier and could have had more guitar work, so I kept that in mind when I made the record,” he said.
