Bass legend Bob Daisley will soon release his autobiography, For Facts Sake, which will go into his time with acts such as Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Gary Moore, Ozzy Osbourne, Uriah Heep and Living Loud.
"Well folks, at long last, my autobiography For Facts Sake is ready to roll," Daisley says. "It's taken me over four years to complete. It covers every band and artist that I've ever worked with and has over 460 photos (many of them color) within and throughout the text. I wanted to make it affordable for the many fans that have given their support. I hope that it lives up to your expectations."
Many of the photographs in the book have remained unseen in Daisley's personal archives until now.
Based in Australia, Bob will be in the U.K. during the first week of August to sign copies of the book before they're sent out during that month. The cutoff date for ordering a signed copy via this link is July 28.
In August last year, Daisley's Living Loud bandmate Steve Morse revealed that the band had mapped out some new songs. "Bob Daisley is the most natural producer," Morse said. "He doesn't even think about it. I can't put two notes in a row without him having an opinion about it!. And oddly enough he has a very consistent vision of what we're trying to do. So I've just learned to trust him and cast an eye at his facial expressions as I come up with stuff, and he'll let me know without even saying anything."
Morse said he was trying to convince Daisley to put those songs out and not wait to get together to do a whole album. "It'd be good just to do a mile-marker," Morse said.
