Carlos Santana to Release First Spanish-Language Album
Carlos Santana is preparing to release his first Spanish-language album. As reported by Billboard, the album, titled Corazón, will be released jointly by RCA and Sony Latin Iberia. Guest artists appearing on the record include Gloria Estefan, Ziggy Marley, Diego Torres and Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, among others.
In conjunction with the release, which is expected to hit record stores in March, a live concert featuring Santana and his guests will be staged and filmed in Guadalajara, Mexico, on December 14. Titled Corazón, Live From Mexico: Live It to Believe It, the concert will be broadcast this spring on HBO Latino and HBO Latin America. A DVD of the concert will be available later in the year.
Santana’s aim, in his choice of guests for the album and film, was to select artists who represent a broad range of countries. “Our goal is to change the energy of the world with this project,” he said.
