Gibson Memphis have debuted a new take on the ES-335, built to the exacting specs of The Black Crowes’ Rich Robinson.
Robinson is well-known as a tone junkie and all-round Gibson and vintage guitar fan. The new signature Rich Robinson ES-335 model one has some niche features: you get a slightly wider nut at 1.711 inches, a pair of Burstbucker pickups (BurstBucker 1 at the neck, 2 at the bridge) and a factory-fitted Bigsby. In faded cherry with Gibson’s VOS process, it’s what many players will seek in a classic ES-335.
There’s also a “Custom Made” plate to cover the stopbar stud holes, just like if this was an actual old ES-335 that had been later “Bisgby-fied”. Nickel hardware and a brown case complete a stunning package.
