The American Hero Experience TV show helped make the dreams of singer/songwriter and former active duty Marine, Markus Fox, come true earlier this month.

Gibson logoFox, who served tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, had his father ship his guitar to a combat zone. His music not only became therapy, it also lifted the spirits of his fellow Marines.

The American Hero Experience sent Markus to Nashville, Tennessee to record his song, “Sacrifices,” which will be used periodically on the new TV series.

Markus also performed on stage in Nashville with hit songwriters Wynn Varble, Don Poythress, Karen Staley and Brad Cotter. At the show, Gibson President & CEO Henry Juszkiewicz presented Fox with a guitar.

The episode will air on “American Hero Experience” on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 1:30 pm EST and repeat at 1:00 pm EST on Thursday, February 28, 2013 on the NBC Sports Network. The "Sacrifices" single is available now at CD Baby http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/markusfox and will be available on iTunes February 25, 2013.
