The just-released Guitars for Wounded Warriors CD pays homage to the U.S. military workers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country. A high-caliber of musicians will appear on the album, including Guns N’ Roses’ Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, Deep Purple’s Steve Morse and Megadeth’s Chris Poland.
The album, which was the brainchild of Emmy Award-winning producer and composer Brian Tarquin, also Reb Beach of Whitesnake and Winger, former Dire Straits guitarist Hal Lindes, Billy Sheehan of Mr. Big and Alex De Rosso of Dokken.
“It is an honor to be a part of this cause,” Deep Purple’s Morse said. “I was just turning drafting age at the end of the Vietnam War, and I still remember that the returning military weren't always treated with the greatest respect. For our modern, volunteer military, we hopefully have learned to show our respect and gratitude.”
“Had a blast trading solos with Brian Tarquin!!” added GN’R’s Bumblefoot. “And best of all, this album supports an important cause, Wounded Warriors. Love to our Warriors, and to everyone for their support.”
