Canadian indie rockers Arcade Fire are getting ready to release their follow-up to The Suburbs from 2010. According to Revolt TV, sources close to the band say that music from Arcade Fire’s upcoming, as of yet untitled, fourth album will be released on September 9, with the album expected to come out by the end of the year.
The band has once again worked with James Murphy during part of the recording process. When interviewed by Rolling Stone, Murphy was quick to point out that his role was more of a consultant than producer: “There's a lot of them, and they're mostly self-produced – like, they don't need a producer in a certain way,” Murphy said about the tracks he was involved with. “I think it's going to be a really great record, actually. I'm eager to see it come out.”
