Kiss legend Paul Stanley released his latest solo album Live To Win in 2006. The music on that disc was quite a departure from the over-the-top melodic rock we're accustomed to hearing from Stanley with Kiss.
Speaking with Nashville Scene, Stanley reveals that he is planning a third solo album, and that it will be more similar to 1978's Paul Stanley as opposed to his latest outing: "The next one I guarantee will be much more guitar-driven. 'Live To Win' was really me wanting to push the envelope of what people wouldn’t expect from me. But my next one would hearken back way more to the first, I’m sure."
Classic Rock report that Stanley recently told a member of San Francisco's Jewish Community Centre that some of Kiss' albums were pretty much Paul Stanley solo albums: "My second solo album was really like a project for me to get away from what I do with Kiss, because some of the Kiss albums have been, basically, almost solo albums.
