When it’s time to go out on the road, Red Rocker Sammy Hagar likes to bring along his famous musician friends. Last year Hagar toured with his buddy Michael Anthony from Van Halen, and members from Hagar’s first band Montrose under the headline “Four Decades of Rock.”
This year, aside from a bunch of shows with his main band The Wabos, Hagar is hitting the road with a show called “A Journey through the History of Rock.” Aside from Hagar, the band will consist of Anthony on bass once again, Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin, Heart, Black Country Communion) on drums, and Vic Johnson from Hagar’s aforementioned solo band The Wabos.
The band have eight shows lined up so far, starting on July 17 in Cadott, WI, at Rock Fest Chippewa Valley, and wrapping up at Lake Tahoe, NV, on August 16. For a complete list of dates, visit Sammy Hagar’s official website.
