Billy Corgan is a busy man these days. Aside from working on Smashing Pumpkins ongoing concept album Teargarden by Kaleidyscope, he's been busy recording commercials with his wrestling company. As if that wasn't enough, Corgan has just announced that he's hitting the road with Smashing Pumpkins this spring. The tour, which starts on April 29 in Melbourne, FL, makes it's way through the US before finishing up on May 18 in Columbus, OH. After that Corgan and co. set off for Europe and Cologne, Germany on June 20, for a bunch of shows and festival dates that culminates with a headlining appearance at Wembley Arena in London on July 22.
Corgan is the only remaining original member of Smashing Pumpkins these days. Aside from Corgan, the current incarnation of the group consists of drummer Mike Byrne, bassist Nicole Fiorentino, and guitarist Jeff Schroeder. Check out Smashing Pumpkins website for information on the upcoming tour.
