Stone Temple Pilots

Stone Temple Pilots have a new lead singer in toe, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, and now, they have a new EP.

The band’s upcoming EP, High Rise, is slated to arrive on Oct. 8 via 13Star Records. The release will offer five new sings, including “Tomorrow” and the band’s current single, “Out of Time.”

Guitarist Dean DeLeo says the band recorded the EP in one night, since Bennington is so busy juggling duties in Stone Temple Pilots and Linkin Park.

“We just finished up the EP. I really do wish we were able to have the time to contribute an LP,” DeLeo told ARTISTDirect. “With everybody’s schedules and Chester having a huge responsibility to Linkin Park, we finished tracking everything on this one night.”

Stone Temple Pilots are also getting ready to hit the road this fall with a North American tour. That trek kicks off on Sept. 4 in Bethlehem, Penn. For a full list of the band’s upcoming tour dates, head to the band’s official website.
